Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Starnova Network collects, uses, and protects information when you use our websites, developer services, and player services. It applies to the public site at starnova.network and to the services we operate for games and developers.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, such as your account details, display name, email address, and the authentication methods you choose to connect.

When you use a game built on Starnova, the game's developer may send us account identifiers and game-specific data needed to operate its services. We do not receive your payment card details from developers.

We also collect technical information such as browser type, device type, language preference, IP address, and requests to our services, along with records needed to secure accounts and investigate abuse.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, authenticate players, provide the services you request, operate developer organizations and applications, process purchases, and maintain platform reliability.

We use aggregated and technical information to understand how the platform is used, improve performance, detect fraud and abuse, and meet legal obligations.

We may send service messages such as security alerts, authentication notifications, and important changes to our terms or services.

Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, protect authentication flows, and remember your language choice. The language preference cookie stores only the language slug you selected.

We do not use advertising cookies on the public site. If we introduce optional analytics in the future, we will describe it here and, where required, ask for consent first.

Authentication and third-party providers

Starnova uses an identity provider to support sign-in, passkeys, multifactor authentication, and account recovery. We do not store your passwords in plain text and we do not expose identity-provider administrative credentials to the browser.

If you sign in with a social provider or connect an Ethereum wallet, that provider or wallet processes information under its own privacy policy. We receive only the information needed to link the credential to your Starnova account.

Game developers receive the account information you authorize when you use their game. Their handling of that information is governed by their own privacy policies.

When we share information

We share information with developers when you use their games and with service providers that help us operate the platform, such as hosting, security, and payment partners. These providers are bound by contractual confidentiality and security obligations.

We may disclose information when required by law, when necessary to protect users or the platform, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or transfer of assets.

We do not sell personal information.

Security and retention

We use technical and organizational measures such as encryption in transit, least-privilege access, tenant isolation, and audit logging. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by the type of information and the service involved.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@starnova.network. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Children

Starnova is not directed to children under the age required to consent to data processing in their jurisdiction. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will delete it.

International transfers

Our services may process information in countries other than the one where you live. When we transfer personal information across borders, we use appropriate safeguards required by applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services evolve. We will post the updated version on this page and change the date above. Material changes will be communicated through the services or by email where appropriate.
